The ShineWilan-X2 is a powerful tool designed to enhance communication between your inverter and monitoring systems. Step 1: π¦ Verify the Datalogger
Upon opening the box, locate the serial number and check code on the ShineWilan-X2 datalogger. Ensure these numbers match the ones displayed on the packaging. This initial verification step is crucial to prevent mismatched configurations and ensure a smooth setup process.
Step 2: π Connect the Datalogger to the Inverter
- Insert the ShineWilan-X2 datalogger into the inverterβs USB port.
- Make sure the triangular symbol πΊ on the datalogger faces upward during insertion.
- Rotate the circular connector clockwise π to secure it firmly in place.
If the connection is successful, the indicator light on the datalogger will start flashing π΄ red. This indicates that the device is ready for the next steps.
Step 3: π΅ Activate Bluetooth Mode
To enable Bluetooth mode:
- Press the small button π on the datalogger briefly.
- The indicator light should change to a steady π΅ blue, indicating that Bluetooth is active and ready for configuration.
Step 4: π² Open the ShinePhone App
- Download and install the ShinePhone app on your mobile device π±.
- Launch the app and log in using your credentials.
Step 5: πΏ Create a New Plant
- Select the option to Create Plant in the app.
- Enter the necessary details:
- π Plant Name: Choose a unique and descriptive name for the installation.
- π Installation Date: Input the date when the system was set up.
- π’ NMI Number: You can enter this manually or use the appβs automatic detection function to pull the details.
- π’ Electric Grid Company: Select the appropriate grid provider from the list (e.g., Ausnet, Jemena, CCPCUE, or South Australia).
Step 6: π§ Configure the Power Grid Settings
For accurate communication, set up the following parameters based on your network configuration:
- π Power Grid Server Domain/IP: Choose the recommended Domain/IP from your setup instructions. If unsure, contact Growatt After-Sales at π 1800 476 928 for assistance.
- π Power Grid Port: Enter the designated port number provided for your setup.
Step 7: β Add the Datalogger to the Plant
- Navigate to the Plant section at the bottom of the app.
- Tap the "+" symbol in the top right corner β and select Add Datalogger.
- A scanning interface will appear π·. Use it to scan the QR code located on the ShineWilan-X2 datalogger.
- Confirm that the serial number and check code match those displayed in the app.
Step 8: πΆ Configure the Wi-Fi Connection
- After verifying the datalogger details, you will be prompted to set up the Wi-Fi connection π‘.
- Enter the Wi-Fi networkβs SSID and password π.
- Tap "Configure Immediately" to initiate the connection.
This process may take a few minutes β³. Once the connection is successful, a confirmation message β will appear, and the app will automatically redirect you back to the Plant interface.
Step 9: π Verify the Connection Status
- In the Plant interface, view the updated information for the connected inverter.
- Tap the "+" symbol in the top right corner β and select "Datalogger List" π.
- Confirm that the ShineWilan-X2 is registered with the power station and its status shows as "Online" π.

- If the indicator light remains flashing π΄ red after several attempts, ensure that the USB port is securely connected and the datalogger is not damaged.
- For any issues with connectivity or if the app cannot locate the datalogger, consider contacting the Growatt After-Sales team for assistance π.

- The installer must contact the Growatt After-Sales team to obtain the necessary LFDI (Local Field Device Identifier) for registration before October 10, 2024 π .
- This datalogger can be used either with a Wi-Fi connection or with an Ethernet cable for a more stable and wired configuration π.
